In 1837:

-Thomas Covelle settled on Section 28

followed soon by:

-John Bolander and P. H. Fippinger on Section 7

- J. S. Sackett on Section 18

-James Ostrander on Section 30

-Reuben Whaples on Section 6

-A. B. Kellogg on Section 36

Reference points:

• The north (top) edge of the township corresponds to North Avenue.
• The east (right) edge of the township corresponds to Harlem Avenue.
• The upper left corner of the box in  bottom left side is the intersection of Wolf and 31st Street. Roosevelt Road runs from left to right through center of the township.
