Proviso Township Through The Years -- First Immanuel Lutheran School

In 1853:

Franzosenbusch community near today's intersection of 22nd (Cermak) and Wolf Road built its first schoolhouse, which today is a part of the Franzosenbusch Prairie house.  To read more about the school see: Immanuel Lutheran School and Franzosenbusch History.

Reference points:

• The north (top) edge of the township corresponds to North Avenue.
• The east (right) edge of the township corresponds to Harlem Avenue.
• The upper left corner of the box in  bottom left side is the intersection of Wolf and 31st Street. Roosevelt Road runs from left to right through center of the township.
