Wolf Road Prairie State Nature Preserve

The Franzosenbusch Nature Center and Museum is located at the north end of Wolf Road Prairie Nature Preserve.  Our prairie backyard is jointly owned by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and the Forest Preserve District of Cook County.  Save The Prairie Society owns a buffer parcel to the West of the preserve and the land that the museum occupies.  When completed, the Franzosenbusch Prairie House will be the gateway to, and your resting post for  exploration of this extremely rare habitat.  For an in depth on-line look at this amazing place just follow this link to the Prairie.
