January 11, 1939 Frank Rifergiate made Clerk and advised he would serve without compensation.

March 13, 1948 Approved resolution for the establishment of a Board of Education consisting of a president and six members all to be elected on April 10, 1948.
   
March 19, 1948 Nomination petitions filed for Board of Education election:
   
April 16, 1948 The first new Board of Education was:

May 20, 1948 Miss Almira Podd hired as Assistant Secretary at $40.00 per month
   
August 19, 1948 Mrs. Alice Whysong hired as Assistant Secretary at $40.00 per month plus $5.00 per meeting for any meetings in excess of two meetings per month.
   
March 22, 1949 Nomination petitions and statements of candidates filed for:

President, one-year term: E. Willard Skoglund (unopposed)

Two members, three-year terms: Richard C Parsons and James H. Zimmermann (unopposed)

   
April 11, 1949 Skoghung, Parsons and Zimmermann elected.
  Due to lack of a quorum of new Board members (due to the death of Mrs. Zimmermann that morning and due to Mr. Weissenborn and Mr. Jasinsky were absent on business the new members were not sworn in and the new Board did not take over.
   
April 21, 1949 Because the successful candidates were all present and there was a quorum of the new Board, President Field gave oath of office to the elected candidates. The new Board was called to order and by motion appointed it Secretary.
   
  Board was comprised of:

  Walter W. Jasinsky
  Richard C. Parsons

  J. William Weissenborn
  Jas. H. Zimmermann
   
  Mrs. Alice Whysong was hired at the same salary to continue as Assistant Secretary to the Baord. President Skoglund announced the following committees for the year 1949-1950:
