Start Work on Westchester "L" Spur at Once

The work on the branch of the Chicago Rapid Transit lines known as the Westchester "L" has been started again, it is authoritatively stated.  According to the informant who wishes his name kept secret, the company has put on a crew of men who are laying tracks from the present railroad across the street from the Westchester terminus.

As to the meaning of the operation there are many surmises. So far as is known there has not been permission granted to enable the road to cross Roosevelt road.

Orders to the track-laying crew are said to state that the work is to go on "at least as far as Twenty-second street."
