MANNHEIM NOW "LA GRANGE" ROAD

It's now "LaGrange Mannheim."

The new 1929 maps of the Cook county highway of department show that Mannheim road has been renamed between DesPlaines and Archer avenue, and the entire stretch of the highway now carries the name of LaGrange.

Robert Kingery, manager of the Chicago Regional Planning association, made the suggestion in a letter to the Western Gateways association.  He pointed out that the term "Fifth avenue" was confusing because such is the leading street in Maywood.

Several business men on Fifth avenue, LaGrange, are giving their address as on LaGrange Mannheim road.
