CAN REMAIN ON FARMS

Farmers in Proviso Township Notified

They May Stay for Two More Years

Just as farmers throughout Proviso township were preparing to move in accordance with the contracts made when they sold their farms several months ago; they were notified that they may remain for two more years.

Official notice was given Sunday by a representative of the purchasers and it was entirely unexpected.  In fact one of the farmers had an auction Saturday and sold nearly all his implements and equipment which he would have held onto had he an intimation that he could remain for two more years.

There are no special stipulations about the rent, each farmer being allowed to write his own ticket and it will be acceptable to the owners if it is at all reasonable.

What next?
