Nawn, John

Father John Nawn, third pastor of Saint Francis Xavier, at the start of the Great Depression.  The need for church construction at that time made for difficult decisions.  He had to ask parishioners for money in a time of severe depression.  Nevertheless, dedication ceremonies took place on June 14, 1931 for the $400,000 project.

He was succeeded as pastor by Father William J. O'Brien.
