CLARENCE A. COVELLE

Clarence A. Covelle, Once Police Officer Here, Passes Away

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon (March 1941) from the Rhenberg Funeral home for Clarence A. Covelle, 71, of 14 North Madison avenue, who died at 1:30 Tuesday at the Berwyn hospital after an illness of only one day.  Interment will be in the LaGrange cemetery.  The Rev. D. L. Woodward will officiate at the services.

Mr. Covelle was a resident of LaGrange all his life, having been born on a farm just north of town.

He was a member of the LaGrange police force in the days when it numbered a village marshall and one helper.  He was a retired employee of the Western United Gas and Electric company.

He was survived by his wife, Gussie; two daughters, Mrs. Ivy Patten, 338 North Stone Avenue, and Miss Gladys Covelle at home; and one son, Raymond, also at home.
