CHARLES H. PUSCHECK

In Same Place of Business 66 Years.  Charles H. Puscheck Pioneer Real Estate Man,

Died December 22, 1939

For 66 years in the same business at the same location.  That was the unique record of Charles H. Puscheck, 132 South Kensington avenue, who died Friday, December 22, after a short illness.  He would have been 81 years old had he lived until next March.  Mr. Puscheck had lived in LaGrange since 1903 and was for many years a bank director, first with the LaGrange Trust and Savings bank and later with the consolidated LaGrange State Trust and Savings bank.

Mr. Puscheck was born in Lyons township, his father owning a large farm which is now a part of the village of Westchester.  When 15 years old he went to work in the office of H. C. Zuttermeister, real estate and loans, Twenty-first and Halsted streets, and all his business life was spent right there.  He was on the job every day as usual until two weeks before his death, when he developed a slight fever that turned into pneumonia and he was taken to the Washington Boulevard hospital.

He married Clara Zuttermeister, daughter of the man with whom he was associated in business for so many years.  She preceded him in death a few years ago.  Three children survive:  Walter H. Puscheck, 311 North Waiola avenue; Hulda, who kept house for her father at 132 South Kensington avenue; and Mrs. J. L. (Martha) Lustfeldt, 132 South Catherine avenue.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family home and at 2:30 from St. John's Lutheran church with the Rev. Alex Ullrich officiating.  Interment was in Concordia.
