Kirschbaum, William

From the "The Village of Harlem: Its People, Homes and Business – 50th Anniversary Souvenir 1856 to 1906"

"Mr. William Kirschbaum was born in Chicago in 1870, where he received his education.  He learned the printing trade and has held responsible positions in several fo the largest printing houses in the city of Chicago.  In 1894 he moved to Harlem, but continued his work in the printing business in Chicago.

"Mr. Kirchbaum is quiet, unassuming, and a highly esteem citizen of the village.  He is public spirited, and has the advancement of the Harlem always at heart.  In 1905, the people of the south side desiring a man who would represent the, elected him a village trustee.  While has has now served but one-half his term yet he has performed his dutieis with credit to himself and his constituents.  He belongs to several social and benevolent organizations.  He married Miss Emma Kuchne of Chicago, a lady of high social qualities who has a large acquaintance both in Chicago and Harlem.  They have four children -- Crystal, Laura, and William and Frederick, the twins."
