Harlem State Savings Bank
The Harlem State Savings Bank was situated at 105 Madison Street, Harlem. The bank, a corporation organized under the banking laws of the State of Illinois, was incorporate in 1904. Its stockholders were composed of primarily by citizens of the village of Harlem, Oak park and River Forest. In 1906 its board and officers consisted of locally well-known people:

The Village of Harlem: Its People, Homes and Business – 50th Anniversary Souvenir 1856 to 1906, provided by Richard Vitton, President of the Historical Society of Forest Park. A reproduction of this book may be viewed by contacting the Historical Society of Forest Park. The Society records and items are available at the Forest Park Library between 1:00 and 4:00 PM on Sundays on the library's lower level. During normal library hours artifacts can be viewed in two display cases on the west wall of the main floor of the library. The library is located at 7555 Jackson Street in Forest Park.
