CONCORDIA CEMETERY
7900 Madison Street
Forest Park
(708) 366-0017
Protestant

This German Protestant Cemetery, also part of the Forest Park community of burial grounds, was established after the fashion of the German Roman Catholic sites. Protestants of Germanic ancestry desired their own cemeteries, separate from those established sites that catered exclusively to their religion but accepted deceased members of many ethnicities.

The impeccable surroundings at Concordia are made even more elegant by the rare carillon on the grounds and a beautiful limestone grapevine and marker commemorating a pair of victims of the 1915 Eastland disaster.
