BROADVIEW FILES SUIT AGAINST McDONOUGH
The village of Broadview today filed suit for a bill of accounting in the Circuit court against Joseph B. McDonough as county treasurer and in person. In his official capacity, the village points out. McDonough is village collector for money to retire special assessment bonds covering thirty-five village improvements.
The bill alleges that all of the money collected was not turned over to the village. In addition, it alleges, that 14,000 delinquent items were turned over to him in the course of collections and that McDonough illegally deducted 50 cents each from them.
