Boldt, Louis

Louis Bolt was born August 8, 1894 in Melrose Park and attended parochial school at Peace Church.  He left school at an early age and was employed by Mr. Julius Abel at the grocery business on St. Charles Road.  He went on to operate Louis Boldt's Grocery and Meat Market on Bellwood Avenue -- one of the few grocery stores in the area during the 1920's and the Great Depression.
