Mandel, Eleanore (Nellie) Degener / Mandel, Louis Heinrich Dietrich

Eleanore (Nellie) Degener Mandel was born in 1869 and died in 1950.  Nellie married Louis Heinrich Dietrich Mandel.  Louis was born in 1867 and died in 1930.  Eleanore was a granddaughter of Heinrich (Henry) Degener (see Early Residents and Settlers--Degener), one of the builders of the school house.  Eleanore and Louis ran the Mandel Dairy Farm.  They had five children.  Eleanore and her husband are buried at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Hillside, Illinois.  Oak Ridge Cemetery originally was the Boeger Family Farm.
