Twenty-one charter members organized this church on November 24, 1923. They met in Odd Fellows Hall on Harris Avenue.  Reverend J. W. McComas served as the first pastor. The congregation finally occupied their own new church building at Ogden and Madison in 1950. By 1978, the membership totaled 130 adults and 40 children.
