Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery

Just north of Immanuel Lutheran Church we find the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Proviso Cemetery preceded the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. It is believed the Proviso Cemetery was originally located on the Degener farm.  Many of the graves from the Proviso Cemetery were moved to Immanuel Lutheran’s Cemetery after it was dedicated but there are many burials still in Proviso Cemetery which are unmarked and lies between the front of Immanuel Church/School along Wolf Road, Hillside, Illinois.
